Registration & attendees
Attendee consent (GDPR)
Capture structured, auditable consent — and let attendees withdraw it.
Congressio captures structured consent at registration — not just a checkbox, but an auditable record you can export and that attendees can withdraw.
Defining consent items
Open Consent (Registration section). Add the items attendees agree to, each with:
- A label and the exact statement shown (you can include a link to your terms/privacy).
- A purpose (terms, data processing, marketing, partner sharing…).
- Required — must be accepted to register.

The guided setup seeds sensible defaults: a required terms acceptance plus optional, non-pre-ticked marketing and partner-sharing opt-ins.
How it's captured
On the registration page, required items gate submission; optional opt-ins are separate and off by default — which is what valid consent looks like under GDPR. Each record snapshots the exact statement the attendee agreed to.
Marketing & partner sharing — do it right
Bundling "share my data with partners for marketing" into a required box is not valid consent. Keep it separate, optional, and non-pre-ticked (the defaults do this), name the actual purpose and partners in the statement, and only share with partners you have an agreement with.
Export & withdrawal
- Organizers can export opt-ins to CSV (it honors withdrawals).
- Attendees manage and withdraw consent any time from their My registrations page.
